AWRA’s membership is comprised of professionals who share a common interest in working and learning across a wide range of disciplines focused on water resources policy, practice and education. 

A Message from Our President

Each year, AWRA elects a new president to chair the Board of Directors and set the strategic direction for the association. The President’s message is a bi-monthly note to AWRA members, with news of the association and the water resources industry.

AWRA offers more than 50 years of leadership in multidisciplinary water resources management.

Board and Staff

AWRA has a 10-member, volunteer Board of Directors from around the country. AWRA staff is headquartered in Middleburg, VA.

AWRA has 22 state sections each offering local resources and events.

AWRA has six technical committees: Flowing Waters, Future Risk, Integrated Water Resources Management, International Affairs, Policy and Technology.
