We are excited to announce that AWRA will hold its 2021 Annual Water Resources Conference as planned this November, virtually. This decision was made due to the ongoing cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant and AWRA Board of Directors’ commitment to keep AWRA attendees, members, and staff safe.

This was not an easy decision. The AWRA Board and the Florida Planning Committee worked together to assess the pros and cons of pivoting to a virtual meeting -- taking into account health experts' projections, state and federal guidelines, news reports, the myriad travel restrictions still facing many water resources professionals, and a poll of the 2021 confirmed annual conference presenters. Given our number one priority is the health and safety of all AWRA conference attendees, our staff, and the surrounding community, we have decided to play it safe and go virtual again for 2021. However, we will continue to plan for future in-person conferences and adjust our sails as needed.

To date, AWRA has hosted five successful national virtual conferences, and the 2021 Annual Conference will highlight our usual high-energy offerings for the excellent exchange of cutting-edge technical information and Community, Conversation, and Connections. We aim to continue our nearly 60-year track record of bringing you outstanding opportunities for learning, sharing your knowledge, and experiencing the professional development benefits you've come to know and expect.
